He made this declaration guided by powers vested upon him through the Organized Crimes Act of 2010, Section 22(1).

“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 (1) of the Prevention of Organized Crimes Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration declares Good News International Ministries to be an organized criminal group for the purposes of the Act,” partly read the Gazette Notice seen by Kenyawide.com.

Mackenzie and his group have been held in custody since last year for running a cultic church in Kilifi where they are accused of massive massacre of their brainwashed congregants.

On that account, Prof Kithure Kindiki, last year, promised to make sure the accused are held by police for life.

“I will make sure these criminals don’t leave cell. They must stay in custody for life,” he charged.

Bodies of women, men and children were discovered buried inside the infamous Shakahola Forest.

It was reported that, Pastor Mackenzie who used to radicalize followers using the Bible, had managed to convince the victims that it is only death that will help them meet with Jesus Christ.

Those who were rescued reported that he had promised them that he will be the last to die after they are all dead.

Interestingly, most of those who were rescued by the police did not want to survive because they had made a covenant with Mackenzie that death was their only remaining option.

They were found starving in preparation to die.
