Saturday, February 3, 2024 -National Environment Management Authority NEMA board has suspends 4 officers who unprocedurally processed Maxxis Nairobi Energy licence in Embakasi area.
According to Board chairman, Emilio Mugo, the group will remain at home pending further investigations into the way they issued the license to the dealer, despite warnings.
Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA, while distancing itself from the incident, said, the Embakasi gas company came for authorisation letter three times after being denied.

2. Acting Deputy Director Compliance
3. Head of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) section.
4. Senior Environmental Officer in the EIA section.
