Monday, February 19, 2024 -President William Ruto has now said he will implement the housing programme in whatever means.
Addressing in their ongoing Naivasha stocktaking meeting today Monday February 19, Dr. Ruto noted that he had resolved to apply any means possible to make sure his housing project does not fail.
The commander-in-chief said the flagship project remains intact because it is the correct thing to do for the nation.
He said, other nations have implemented the project and that his government will push on for the benefit of the people.
“We will implement the housing program. I don’t want to say by whatever means possible. I have just said we will implement it. We will, because it is what other progressive countries have done. It has worked. It is not an invention.
“Those opposing it do that not because it is bad but because it is us implementing it. They wanted it implemented by them,” Ruto said in the meeting.
His remarked this amid reports that members from United Democratic Alliance UDA Party are secretly lobbying the opposition to support the housing bill which is entering another reading in Parliament.
