Thursday, March 7, 2024 –Former nominated Senator Margaret Wanjiru has claimed that the men who forced their way into her CBD church and demolished it were government officers.
Addressing members of the press today after the incident, Wanjiru laid blame on the Kenya Kwanza government saying the demolition og her Jesus is Alive Ministries is a plan by the State.
The former Starehe Member of Parliament said the government had turned against her even though she was their key supporter and mobiliser, especially, around Nairobi in the last General Elections.

“Truly, I was not campaigning for land grabbers to start claiming that our church properties are their property. We cannot lose property in this country,” Bishop Wanjiru told the press.
In the statement, the clergy stated that the demolition exercise was supervised by police officers despite her resistance.
“So, definitely, the government is involved, and it is very sad that this is the government we campaigned for. I am yet to believe that they can do this to me.

She further claimed there is no direct communication on why the Jesus is Alive Ministry’s premises had been invaded but said those conducting the exercise revealed that they were acting on ‘high orders’.
