Sunday, March 24, 2024 –Nairobi Dj Joe Mfalme born Joseph Mwenda Munoru has broken silence since the murder and his subsequent arrest surfaced online.
He has shared a public statement sympathising with the bereaved family of the departed DCI officer who reportedly lost life in his hands.
In the statement which Kenyawide.com has had a look at, the city entertainer is condoning with the family as he assures the affected parties that he will cooperate with the investigation until justice is confirmed.
“This is a public statement solely aimed at addressing the recent developments surrounding the regrettable incident that has come to the attention of the general public.
“First and foremost, we express our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and all those impacted by this unfortunate incident.
“DJ Joe Mfalme and his team have been in close collaboration with the investigative agencies since the occurrence of the incident.
“DJ Joe Mfalme and his team are fully committed to participating in the investigative procedure and will continue to extend their cooperation as may be required,” said Mfalme in his statement dated Sunday March 24.
It is reported that the entertainer, his bouncers attacked the said police officer who had allegedly brushed their car in the parking lot last Friday night.
The scuffle between the two parties occurred as the entertainer and his crew were leaving the club after job.
“Given the ongoing investigations and the sensitive nature of the matter, we shall refrain from making any further statements at this time.
“We deeply appreciate your understanding and unwavering support. We shall purpose to update you once the investigations are complete,” he shared further.
DJ Mfalme is accused by the police of assaulting an officer attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI who later succumbed to internal injuries.
He has since been taken into custody alongside 3 other members of his team.
