Tuesday, April 9, 2024 –Tomorrow Wednesday will be a public holiday; according to a Gazette Notice from the Ministry of Interior.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki made this declaration that Wednesday, April 10 will be an official holiday for Islamic celebrations.
“It is notified for the general information of the public that, in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the Public Holidays Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration declares that Wednesday, the 10th April 2024 shall be a Public Holiday to mark Idd-ul-Fitr,” read the notice in part as arrived on our news desk.
Kenyans across the country will, therefore, have time at home to mark the historic Idd-ul-Fitr as the end of Ramadhan.
