Monday, April 15, 2024 -Lawyers representing Embattled former Sports Cabinet Secretary CS Rashid Echesa have withdrawn from the case.
Lawyers Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta, on Monday, April 15, officiallly called it quits from Echesa matter just a day after Echesa made outbursts implicating President William Ruto’s trusted aide, Farouk Kibet.
Lawyer Omari told a local news outlet that he was no longer the official advocate to Mr. Echesa.
“Yes, it is true that is the position going forward,” Omari stated adding that he would not make public the reason they decided to withdraw.
“Kindly note that we are no longer acting for the above-named person. Any communication with regards to him should be directed to him or his representatives,” the letter seen by Kenyawide.com read in part.
Echesa was accused by Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa of extortion over witchdoctor alleged leaked images of Governor Fernandes Barasa.
