Monday, May 13, 2024 –President William Ruto has today Monday May 13 met with his economic teams amid uproar from some quarters on the proposed Finance Bill 2024.
In the meeting, a source revealed that Ruto stressed on their deliberate and intentional management of the economy to make the country self sufficient and sustainable.
“Our management of the economy is deliberate and intentional as we lay the building blocks of Kenya’s transformation. In all this, the people are at the centre of our plans,” said Ruto
The head of State was hosting the Treasury and Central Bank teams, at the State House Nairobi where Economist David Ndii was also present.
Earlier in the day, President Ruto was at Lenana School where he officially announced the reopening of schools, country wide.
He promised to build and equip 24 extra classrooms for Lenana School Primary so that it can serve more students in Dagoretti South.
“Our focus is to ensure that all our children access the right learning environment to boost their academic performance. In Ngando, Nairobi County, officially opened the 22-classroom Lenana School Primary that will initially accommodate more than 1,500 children,” noted Dr. Ruto in a statement seen by Kenyawide.com.
Schools reopened today after almost two weeks of closure due to floods that have been ravaging the country.
