Tuesday, May 14, 2024 –The slain campus girl, Faith Musembi, died in a related love triangle. Police have confirmed.

The 19-year-old girl who was found by father murdered in her room in Thika Town could have died after two colleagues rivaled for her.

Police on patrol

The police have since arrested a 25-year-old student whom they are treating as a person of interest in the cruel murder.

This is after the detectives learnt that the man had an intimate connection with the lady who died from excessive bleeding.

Also, the police believe the suspect played a key role in her execution as the diseased girl was found dead with her placenta completely ruptured to bleed out to her death.

“We have the main suspect in custody and are conducting thorough investigations. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO) is on the matter and the suspect will be produced in court,” Thika Police Boss Lawrence Muchangi shared this with the police.

Faith’s body was discovered last week inside a rented room when her concerned family led by her father, Boniface Musembi, learnt of her silence in the hands of her abductors.

A Crime scene

The killer had first called on the family to pay him sh 27,000 which they raised before he hiked the ransom amount sh 60,000.

In that process, as the distraught family continued searching for the extra money, the kidnapper used the opportunity to finally kill the victim.
