Saturday, June 8, 2024 –Opposition leader Raila Odinga and Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi have met today again.
The two leaders together with other elected leaders, clergies, interest groups and several other key dignitaries, attended the 60th Anniversary of the Kenya-United States Celebrations held in the Capital City.
Making this confirmation today Saturday June 8, Mr. Odinga said he was part of the leaders invited to attend the event.
He lauded Ambassador Meg Whitman for considering him and several other leaders to be part of the noble exercise.
“Meg Whitman hosted us for a celebration of the upcoming US Independence Day and 60 years of diplomatic relations between our nations. Kenya and the United States have a long-standing partnership built on shared ideals,” announced Mr. Odinga who was accompanied by Peters Kenneth, Minority leader in te National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi and several others
Odinga had ealier presided over the opening of Pan African Human Rights & Social Justice Conference.
An initiative aimed at bringing together governments, international organizations, and civil society to counter-terrorism in Africa grounded on human rights to produce long-lasting change.
