Wednesday, June 26, 2024 -Top lawyer Donald Kipkorir has advised President William Ruto to throw away the entire Finance Bill 2024 citing unsettled citizens.

Taking to his social handles on Tuesday June 25, Lawyer Kipkorir said, those advising the president are after their own interests and, as long as their stomachs are filled up, they don’t care what other people say out there.

Korir added that such cronies only tell the head of State about what he wants to hear only.

“Long before Gen Z were born. Those close to you now are Court Jesters: they will tell you what you want to hear because they are in it to enrich themselves.

Before they joined your Government, their stomachs were small, they drove small cars, lived in humble estates and didn’t have money to speak about. Now, those close to you have hanging stomachs, wear designer clothes, drive big cars, have bought or built palatial homes, walk around with bundles of millions of shillings,” noted the lawyer.

The lawyer reminded the president that angry young men and women are up in arms with his government because nothing is reaching them down the ladder despite the promises.

“The Youth are crying that those benefits are not trickling down to them. Many a leader lost power because Palace Advisers & Cronies lied to the leader that all was well.

When the people of France kept complaining about hard economic times, Royal Advisers told King Louis XVI & Queen Marie Antoinette that all was well. The false advise ended with the execution of the King & Queen and ended the Bourbon Monarch”.

According to the city property and business lawyer, the youths demonstrating across the whole country simultaneously and in an unparalleled action, need to be heard.

And should they not be heard, things will turn upside down for this government.

“Voice of the People is the Voice of God. Listen to them. And cancel the entire Finance Bill.

“You told me last year that after ten years, we will enjoy retirement in our City of Eldoret. I want you to retire that time with solid legacy. Please hearken to the cries of the youth,” Kipkorir said.

The Nairobi lawyer made these remarks in the wake of countrywide demonstrations staged by young men and women dubbed the Gen Zs.

The Gen Zs are protesting against poor leadership coupled with high taxation from the Kenya Kwanza administration.
