Wednesday, July 23, 2024 ––President William Ruto has named his second batch of Cabinet Secretaries which has included Raila Odinga’s close party allies.
In the list named today, both Wycliffe Oparanya and Hassan Ali Joho were made cabinet secretaries with the former taking the cooperatives docket as the latter was entrusted with Mining offioce previous held by Salim Mvurya.
Mvuryua was, therefore, today Wednesday July 24, moved to the Trade and Industrialization previously held by Kipchumba Murkomen who was switched to Sports docket.
Here are the names of the persons Ruto has nominated to fill the remaining slots in cabinet just days after he(Ruto) had nominated his first eleven squad that included Aden Duale(Environment) and Soipan Tuya( Defence).
1. Treasury – John Mbadi
2. Trade – Salim Mvurya
3. Tourism – Rebecca Miano
4. Energy – Opiyo Wandayi
5. Mining – Hassan Joho
6. Sports – Kipchumba Murkomen
7. Labour – Alfred Mutua – Labour
8. Cooperatives – Wycliffe Oparanya
9. Public Service – Justin Muturi
10. Gender – Stella Langat
