Tuesday, July 30, 2024 ––Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has indicated his stand on the recent Cabinet nominations conducted by his boss William  Ruto.

Speaking on Monday July 29, Gachagua pointed out that his role is to remain principal assistant to the president and that whatever decision the boss makes must be adhered to.

He said in the appointment announced recently, Mt Kenya Region continued benefiting from the State positions and that this is enough reason to remain happy in government.

My job is to be faithful to my boss. Decisions are entirely made by him and I cannot do anything in contrary. We have no problem as long as I play my assistance role.

“Deputy president is to help president to deliver and to be faithful. What he decides I agree with him 100 percent. I cannot confront him,” added DP Gachagua.

He said whatever he had asked for from Ruto, he has fully been granted and that every part of Central Region is represented in the Cabinet.

It is for this reason that he pleaded with his supporters not to feel dispositioned from major government roles in Kenya Kwanza administration as changes continue to be implemnted

“We have no problem because we have lost nothing.

“We have not lost anything because Rebbecca Miano has retained her role, Murang’a, Kirinyaga Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Nakuru, Tharaka Nithi we have been rewarded so all others can come to work with,” said Gachagua.
