Tuesday, August 6, 2024 –A section of Members in the Music Copyright Society of Kenya MCSK have today kicked out the current CEO Ezekiel Mutua.
The drama ensued in the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held at the Blue Springs Hotel on Tuesday August 6 and attended by hundreds of the musician members.
Addressing the media outside the venue, Cornelius Macharia aka CMG member number 1759, confirmed the changes which he described as successful.
“We have a team to plan leaders and who will arrange on how to have an election. We have new directors in place who have assumed office today and they are all here,” revealed Macharia.
Newly-nominated leaders on interim basis are Western Region Mrs Pamela, Karisa from Coast, Ephantus Kamau Nairobi, Florence Mnane(Eastern) among others.
He announced that Nairobi will have two directors because of its heavy population and these are – Victor and Ephantus as Rift valley Region was left in the hands of Barasa.
MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua and Chairman Dr. Lazarus Muli, according to the sources, were kicked out from office during the meeting.
Members resolved to remove them with immediate effect and appointed new leaders to take over their positions.
