Tuesday, August 13, 2024 –Rwandan President Paul Kagame has promised to vote for Raila Odinga in the African Union AUC polls.
In a statement shared online today Tuesday August 13, the Rwandan head of State noted that he will support Odinga’s bid to rise to the top pf Africa leadership and that while there, he will also support him in asking sure Africa remains on global map.
Kagame noted further that he is wishing Odinga all the best in his quest to take up the African top role and that this will be a dream come true for east Africa.
“It’s no secret. I told him Rwamda will support him. Not only will we support him to be there but also when he is there, we will support him for Africa to succeed. We therefore wish him well,” stated Kagame in a statement seen by Kenyawide.com.
Kagame joining the long list of African head of States who have agreed to support the Kenyan opposition leader to be the next AUC chairman.
Raila under the current government of William Ruto, submitted his official candidature papers for consideration.
