Monday, August 19, 2024 -Businessman and Safina presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi was today arrested by the police.
According to his lawyer Mr. Khaminwa, the politician was arrested shortly after reporting at the Central Police Station in Nairobi.
Before his arrest, Wanjigi was seen in a brief fierce confrontation with senior police officers at the Central Police.
His attempts to address supporters near the station were thwarted by the police who were heard forcing him to enter his car and leave.
