Wednesday, September 4, 2024 –Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was not shot but stumbled and injured his right leg. The police statement has claimed.

According to the police Statement on Tuesday, singer Bobi Wine stumbled as he was getting into his vehicle and got injured!

But in a rejoinder using a live video clip that captured the scene well, Bobi Wine team disclosed how the shooting took place and described it as deliberate.

“They often forget that today, everyone is a journalist. We’re grateful to the vigilant citizens who captured this footage and shared it. Thank you for listening to our consistent message – many times, our cameras are our biggest weapons,” read the counter statement from Bobi’s team.

Bobi Wine, a Ugandan youthful opposition leader, was on Tuesday September 3, shot in his right side leg by the police and the military.

The incident took place at Bulindo Area in Kira Municipality where he had gone to check on one of his lawyers, Musisi George.

The former presidential candidate is currently recuperating in hospital.
