Thursday, September 26, 2024 –High Court sitting in Nairobi wants Police boss Douglas Kanja to show up in court by tomorrow or face warrant of arrest.
Today Thursday, High Court judge ordered IG Kanja together with Director of Public Prosecution Renson Ingonga, to produce, before September 27, member of Wajir County Assembly Mr. Yusuf Ahmed who is still missing.
Law Society of Kenya LSK marched to the court seeking orders compelling the State agencies to avail details of the missing politicians.
LSK wants the said politician freed and brought to the court for confirmation that he is still alive.
Lawyers of the missing person accused the National Police Service of failing to produce the MCA who disappeared weeks ago.
MCA Ahmed was reportedly abducted by unknown people on September 13 while being driven through the Enterprise Road in Makadara Sub-County at around 9 pm.
His family told the press that his abductors took away with them his mobile phone so that to bar him from communicating with anyone for help.
The orders by the High Court coming exactly a week after Acting IG Gilbert Masengeli who is facing charges of court contempt apologised to the judge for his cations.
Masengeli was required to produce three youths from Kitengela who went missing at the height of anti-government protests organised by Gen Zs.
