Friday, February 5, 2021 – Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambungu has acknowledged a change in heart around Mt. Kenya region saying the president’s tour is quickly bearing fruits.
He made this sentiments following a four day camp by president Uhuru Kenyatta who encouraged locals to support his agenda.
The head of State also cautioned his region against blindly following his deputy William Ruto because he knows who he is more than them.
And according to Wambugu the message from the president was straight and clear and that a larger section of the region was in total agreement.
He added that what Kenyatta had told them was smoothly trickling down to the grassroots and it is just a matter of time before the reality dawns to everyone.
“There is going to be a gradual groundswell as the days go by and the message is spread to the grassroots, with the entire region likely to shift in about three weeks,” MP Wambugu said.
He also noted that the shift can already be felt even before the real work on the ground kicks off.
Uhuru made clear to everyone that his relationship with his deputy had hit rock bottom due to ideological differences.
