Irungu Kang’ata loses his Chief Whip position

Tuesday, February 9, 2021 – Senator Irungu Kang’ata has been ejected from office following his disloyalty and under-performance.

Mr. Kang’ata who has been serving the Majority Chief Whip post has been performing dismally with little ability to convince anyone to tore the party’s line.

And making announcement on Tuesday February 9 morning, party’s leadership under the umbrella of Jubilee Coalition Parliamentary Group meeting which held its meeting at KICC said Kang’ata had been relieved his duties at the Senate.

According to Secretary General Raphael Tuju, it was impossible for Kang’ata to continue performing in that capacity because he could nolonger be trusted by a larger section of members.

“We had a meeting where we invited Senator Kang’ata but he refused to come, he joined online and later discussed what was discussed to the media. If after talking, you expose what was discussed, then that is not acceptable and that is a big failure as a leader,” Tuju narrated.

It is now claimed that the person who could replace Kang’ata could be his Kiambu counterpart Senator Kiamani Wamatang’i who is highly touted as a frontliner in a lits produced to Uhuru Kenyatta’s desk.
