Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza wants all ghost workers in her administration to report back on duty or they will not be paid from next month.
In her address today Tuesday December 3, the impeached governor was heard sounding a warning shot to the hundreds of ghost workers asking them to show up at their respective places of work or they be struck out of the County Government payroll.
“As a government, if you do not work expect no pay; even the Bible warns lazy workers. 001 to 0020 from this month we will not pay you. So as a government, we want a comprehensive report on who is working and who is not working for an action to be taken”.
She instructed Health department heads to check who is not working and immediately expunge them from payroll.
