Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of Block Inc, will attend the third edition of the Africa Bitcoin Conference (ABC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Africa Bitcoin Conference (ABC) has confirmed the arrival of Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of Block, who will attend the event in Nairobi, Kenya, from December 9 to 11, 2024.
The tech Conference aims to bring together thought leaders, industry experts, and enthusiasts to discuss the opportunities Bitcoin offers across Africa Continent.
Dorsey praised Kenya’s tech ecosystem and emphasised that the West has much to learn from Nairobi and Africa as a whole during his previous visit in 2022.
In his previous visit to Kenya in 2022, the co-founder of Twitter (now X), met with tech enthusiasts at iHub in Kilimani, offering insights into building successful tech products like Twitter and Block Inc.
His visit followed reports that Block Inc (formerly Square) had invested $2 million (KSh 258 million) in Gridless, a Kenyan startup focused on sustainable bitcoin mining, founded by Erik Hersman.
As of the latest Forbes report, Dorsey’s net worth is estimated at $5.6 billion (KSh 723.2 billion).
