President William Ruto has, today Monday, assured that his government will supply every boarding public school with free cooking gas.

Addressing today in Nairobi during one of the Ministry of Energy meetings, Ruto announced that all boarding public learning institutions will be connected with liquefied petroleum gas in the next one year to help in healthy cooking.

This project will run in many parts with private sector companies invited to secure tenders so that to help in the process of fixing tanks in institutions around the nation.

“This project is going to be financed by the private sectors which will be asked to install tanks in schools and we will buy gas from them,” President William Ruto noted, further.

The head of State added that this project should not take more than one year to complete eleven thousand boarding schools across the country to save destruction of environment and cutting down of trees as well as health for cooks.
