Friday, February 12, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked his Deputy William Ruto to resign so that he can criticize government from outside.
In a full blown war of words and supremacy battle between the two leaders, Uhuru on Friday dared Ruto to jump out of his government and run the show from the periphery.
Uhuru who was accusing his DP of double speak, wondered why one would purport to take a selected credit for successful projects done by the government and at the same time accuse it of failure.
“On one hand he is saying the government has failed and on the other hand he is saying we as a government have done this and that development,” President Kenyatta said this while addressing residents of Uthiru adding:
“That is doublespeak, you can’t be speaking of the failures of a government where you serve while at the same time outlining what you refer to as we have achieved as a government. You better resign,” he said.
Uhuru’s counter attack is coming just days after the Tangatanga wing had accused him of referring to his DP as a thief.

The President, a fortnight ago while in his Sagana meeting with Mt. Kenya leadership, asked the region to ignore his deputy whom he said was not a sincere person.
He even went as far as saying he was not having any debt with anyone and therefore he will support whoever he will want.
“Some people keep saying I made a promise to them, no, I only have a promise and covenant with the people of Kenya. That is the promise I am implementing. Ask your guy why he can’t allow me to do my work and keeps coming back for the baton, instead of waiting for his turn,” Uhuru said.
Uhuru and his new ally Raila Odinga are currently championing for the BBI project which they claim will bring the change required in the country.
