Kenya Should Stop Being Careless on Sudanese Matters

Chris Akali

It is heartbreaking news to hear that the Government of Kenya has reportedly allowed Sudan rebels, the Rapid Support Force RSF, to carry on with their meetings here in Nairobi.

Though, days ago, Kenya purpotedly wrote back to Sudan Government saying such activities are not taking place here in Kenya, it has emerged that the program seems to have been completed yesterday at Edge Convention Center. According to Blogger Aoko Otieno.

“I’m told Sudan Militia, RSF are signing up for their parallel government as we speak,

“Venue is unknown, but inafanyika usiku sai…

“That’s Kenya under Ruto for you…,” a source disclosed to Aoko.

If true as it seems, then what any right thinking person will adduce is that Kenya is gearing up for war with legitimate Sudanese government. Kenya wants to aid the rebel group to distabilise Sudan for unknown reasons. Perhaps oil or other business and resource reasons.

If this is not stopped early, Kenya is going to run into a Congo-like war with Sudan.

This was happening in Nairobi even as the High Court was asked to block the Sudan’s Rapid Support Force (RSF) from signing any political agreement with political forces and armed groups in Kenya.

Five petitioners want Nairobi barred from interfering with the political interests of another country, saying, it threatens Kenya’s national security, peace and stability.

Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, his Interior colleague Kipchumba Murkomen, the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, and the Attorney General Dorcas Oduor have been sued following the meeting of RSF in Nairobi on Monday, when the militia group announced it form a parallel government.
