The reasoning capacity of some people in this country is underwhelming, too much.
I have heard many people on the streets accuse William Ruto of chasing out Gachagua. They claim that Ruto was wrong to plan his DP’s removal because Uhuru Kenyatta never did the same to him.
According to people, Ruto was a worse deputy but Uhuru Kenyatta still left him in government to the last day.
But I have a contrary opinion, they are all wrong on this type of thinking. First, Uhuru didn’t leave Ruto in government. He actually tried all he could to remove him but Ruto was something else. Uhuru tried to chase away Ruto but he was overwhelmed by Ruto. Dr. Ruto had numbers on his side and, therefore, stronger than his boss Uhuru. Ruto had both numbers and power and that’s why he managed to wrestle full power from Uhuru in the last general election.
After Uhuru tried several times to remove Ruto and failed, he decided to transfer duties to Fred Matiang’i. He used executive orders to strip Ruto all duties to Dr. Matiang’i. That’s the only far he could manage.
Uhuru, through intelligence, knew he couldn’t marshal enough numbers in the National Assembly and the Senate. He, therefore, avoided a full impeachment against Ruto because he was going to be embarrassed.
Basically, Uhuru didn’t have numbers to remove Ruto. He, actually, could not manage a full impeachment against his DP. Infact, Ruto had numbers that could remove Uhuru easily and not the vice versa. He(Ruto) only spared him.
And that is where your Rigathi Gachagua went wrong. He started throwing tantrums before planning well. Unlike Ruto, Gachagua had zero numbers. He didn’t mobilize anything to help him counter both internal and external threat. He is a poor careless politician this country has ever had.
Those taking Gachagua’s threats serious are wasting their time. He talks too much and exposes his next plan before execution. A very poor strategy in war. And that’s why he keeps losing every fight. He will lose again and again. He can’t win anything.
I urge Kenyans not to rely on Gachagua because he can’t beat Ruto anywhere any day.
