UDA Party face distrust as Mt. Kenya MPs grow cold feet

Chrispen

Saturday, February 20, 2021 -A good number of Mt. Kenya leaders allied to the deputy president are almost betraying him. Reports have emerged.

According to reports from Ruto’s inner-circle, Mt. Kenya leaders who have been supporting his Hustler narrative have suddenly grown cold feet and gone into silent at the time he needed them most.

This observation played in the open when all DP William Ruto allies were requested to start contributing their monthly dues towards their new party United Democratic Alliance UDA a directive that seemed not to go well with most of them especially from Mt. Kenya Region.

Details showed that MP Oscar Sudi wrote a letter to the Clerk of the National Assembly requesting their Jubilee Party contributions to be reduced to sh 50 as the rest be channeled towards their Kazi ni Kazi Welfare Group falling under UDA Party.

But since the development, their allies from Mt. Kenya went into silence and have not shown interest in the matter. In fact, many of them have chosen to popularize Ruto but not UDA Party.

DP William Ruto in one of his recent Mt Kenya meetings.

“Some of the MPs in Rift Valley have written to clerk of the National Assembly and Senate about the decision to stop contribution to Jubilee but those in Mt Kenya are reluctant to do so.

“They want the issue of the party clarified,” a Mt Kenya MP privy of the developments told the Standard newspaper.

The Central Region MPs reasoned that going into UDA Party blindly may cost them their political career since they cant be sure of both its future and safety.
