Wednesday, February 24, 2021 -Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has implicated Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party in another leadership scandal.
In her latest speech while in her constituency, the vocal Tangatanga allied MP recounted how it was difficult for her to express her opinion freely when she was in ODM than it is now.
She claimed that the day she decided to rebel against the gagging party orders, was the same day she was vilified and even dragged before their disciplinary committee.
This forced her to cross to Deputy President’s camp where she now claims she found enough freedom to do her politics.
“Mimi pande ile ingine mini wakanikalia chapati. Lakini Mimi nikawashow sio yule anaweza kuhangaishwa. Nilipelekana na wao mpaka wakasurrender na wakasema hatumtambui Aisha Jumwa. Nikawaambia kama hamnitambui mara moja, Mimi simtambui mara Kumi. Kwa sababu hiyo Mimi nikatafuta nyumba UDA (While I was in ODM, I was under pressure. But I proved to them that I am not a pushover as they thopught. I defied their ethics until they decided to expel me,)” she said in a viral video doing rounds on social media.
She is, unofficially, in the newly formed United Democratic Alliance UDA Party linked to the deputy president.
