Huge crowds don’t result into votes, politicians told

Thursday, February 25, 2021 -Central Organization of Trade Union COTU boss Francis Atwoli has advised politicians never to be deceived by huge crowds attending their rallies.

Atwoli who was appearing on JKL show hosted by popular news anchor Jeff Koinange on Wednesday February 25 said if crowds were always converted into votes them the first person who would have benefited from such an assumption would be Mr. Stanley Njindo Matiba who used to attract earth shuttering crowds all through his rallies.

He also mentioned Jaramogi Oginag Odinga as the second popular political figure that men and women in this country loved same to Martin Shikuku whose gift of gap would bring market activities at a standstill.

“If crowds are votes then Stanley Njindo Matiba would have been president before he died. Did you see the crowds that Jaramogi Oginga Odinga pulled? How about Martin Shikuku just the other day. No, crowds are not votes.” he responded to Jeff who sought to know what actually happened on BBI in Central Region which has been in support of the DP for sometime now.

And speaking about the recent Sagana Lodge retreat the president held with grassroots leadershipfrom the populous Mt. Kneya Region, the flamboyant trade unionist simply said the Head of State only needed 41 minutes to change the tide.

“Uhuru only needed fourty-one minutes to make drastic changes on anything in Mt. Kenya,” he added,

This was in an indirect attack to the DP who has been making unending tours in the region with hopes of dislodging Uhuru as the area kingpin and also for hsi won 2022 political reasons.
