Friday, February 26, 2021 -Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has blamed Deputy President William Ruto’s Party for playing dirty games in the ongoing Machakos mini-poll campaigns.

In his Thursday February 25 expose, Dr. Mutua said the United Democratic ALLIANCE UDA Party which is associated with the DP recently came with their candidate at his hotel, chatted him for sometime only to learn later that they were taking photos for wrongs reasons.

He claims they have been using the photos to hoodwink the public that his Maendeleo Chap Chap Party had struck a deal with UDA Party to step down for their(UDA) candidate Urbanas Ngengele.

Mutua who was revealing this dirty politics, while in Kang’undo, further detailed that indeed he met UDA leaders from the area and among them was Mr. Ngengele but the talks were quiet different and which mainly centered on peaceful campaigns and nothing else. He also said they briefly spoke about the Building Bridges Initiative BBI.

“Today in the morning during my normal activities in a hotel I saw UDA senatorial candidate Urbanus Ngengele, Vincent Musyoka, Victor Munyaka enter. They joined me where we discussed on Building bridges initiative and peaceful campaigns, I’m still their governor,” the governor said.

What he did not like was the fact that after their meeting, photos went viral that he had entered into a pact with UDA to step down for them.

“I saw their photographer take pictures and said it’s okay. To my surprise, the photos had gone viral with captions that Katuku had stepped down for Ngengele. I wonder where such childish behaviour emanated from. Let’s be adults, when people meet and talk don’t be too excited. Our candidate Katuku is headed for senate,” noted Mutua.

He has since asked the UDA members to be focused and stop their political sideshows because he will not be leaving the seat free for them.
