Sunday, March 7, 2021 -Senator James Orengo has threatened to name a risky cabal within the Statehouse who are plotting to curtail Raila Odinga’s presidential bid 2022.

The Minority leader who also makes one of the close friends of the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga on Saturday March 6 warned that efforts to replace Raila with Gideon will be countered with repercussions.

Orengo went ahead to disclose that meetings have in recent times been held at Harambee House to weaken the Handshake for other 2022 political reasons.

President Uhuru Kenyatta(addressing) with ODM boss Raila Odinga during their past media briefing.

“I want to warn some top civil servants paid by taxpayers’ money to stop meddling in the country’s political leadership because they have no reason at this time to do so,” Orengo said.

He then said such night meetings will again fail the same way Mwai Kibaki succession arrangements failed. He reminded those at Haramebe House of their endless meetings that saw them front Musalia Mudavadi what couldn’t succeed.

Just two days ago, Raila Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Oginga while on KTN News, disclosed that his younger brother Raila has so many other options left open for him shall one be closed by the ‘obvious mafias’.

Other politicians have weighed into the happenings saying the Handshake was not going to last because it was built on quick sand.

“All along I knew Handshake was built on quicksand. I’m, therefore, surprised that some of you are surprised that it’s coming down like a house of cards. Fact is, it wasn’t about if, but when it would finally crumble. Let’s enjoy the spectacle,” Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga said.

On his part, Senator Irungu Kang’ata reminded the ODM brothers of the contents of his infamous letter that cost him the Chief Whip post.

“I spoke in December via my letter about the use of “hard power” in politics and many thought I was insane,” Kang’ata said.

Culture of betrayal has been in Kenya for long with the latest being that of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy.

Uhuru promised to back Ruto for another 10 year term but he has since turned around against their agreement.
