Tuesday, March 9, 2021 -It is not true that Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are severing ways. Kipipiri legislator Amos Kimunya has clarified.
The Majority leader in the National Assembly explained that whatever rumour flying out there was a well-cooked lie from Deputy President William Ruto’s wing who for a long time have never been pleased with the Handshake.
“There are people who got shocked, who thought BBI is not going anywhere. They are now planting insinuations to rub ODM the wrong way. Unfortunately, some people within ODM may have swallowed the bait,” Kimunya said.
Mr. Kimunya in addition, claimed that the coming together of the two top leaders in the country was purely informed by the ‘two’ and it will not be possible for an outsider to meddle and break; sentiments that were shared by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who warned that those trying to scuttle the Handshake may not achieve much because it is always ‘hard to destroy that which you never built’.
MP Kimunya, on his part, maintained that the overwhelming support the BBI was receiving from across the country had caused panic among their rivals.
News about Raila Odinga being betrayed spread around the country like bush when Siaya Senator James Orengo publicly pointed out that Statehouse operatives were working night and day to spoil for ODM.
