Tanzanian VP Drops First Hint on Magufuli’s Faulty Health[Video]

Monday, March 15, 2021 -Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli is sick. His vice Samia Suluhu has hinted.

For the first time since the reports about the president’s whereabouts went viral in and outside the borders, Tanzanian authorities have now started to speak about it one after another.

VP Suluhu, in her Monday March 15 Tanga speech, asked every Tanzanian national to pray for the country as well as remain together even as the country battles challenges.

She asked those speaking ill about her boss Magufuli to tone down for the sake of unity and calm of their country.

“Tanzania tuko salama.Tanzania tuko salama. Ni kawaida ya binadamu kukaguliwakagulia. Mara mafua, mara homa… chochote kile. Lakini nataka niwaambie kwamba, katika wakati muhimu wa Watanzania kushikamana, ni wakati huu. (We are safe Tanzanians. It is normal for human beings to undergo (health) tests on flu and fever… or anything.),” she said.

Moments after her speech, fierce opposition figure Tundu Lissu surfaced on Twitter guns blazing arguing that he had now been finally exonerated after some quarters faulted his posts on Magufuli.

“VP Samia suggested today that the Dictator is sick somewhere. My own sources in TISS say he’s on life support with COVID and paralyzed on one side and from the waist down after a stroke. Tell the people the truth! Release Peter Silayo na Melchiory Shayo detained in Kilimanjaro!,” Tundu Lissu responded to Samia’s utterances.

President Magufuli is among few presidents in Africa who have remained adamant that there was no Covid-19 in his country.

Reports about his illness caught everyone by surprised when he was said to have been flown to Kenya then later to India for an urgent medical attention; what his government is yet to confirm.
