Thursday, April 1, 2021 -Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has affirmed that only Raila Odinga is fit to govern this country.
Raila who just tendered his nomination papers today after recovery from Covid-19, has been playing cold on his 2022 ambitions saying his mind was first focusing on the Building Bridges Initiative.
But MP Amollo has publicly revealed how they are the ones piling pressure on Mr. Odinga to vie for the top seat again. He defended that Odinga’s silence can be attributed to his focus on nation building.
The former Ombudsman added that, as ODM Party, they still believe that only Odinga stands a high chance of winning the presidency in 2022 saying this is the only man who can also be trusted to fix all the mess done by previous regimes.
“Many of us believe that he is the best person for the presidency and have been urging him to go for it. This is a man who has vied for the seat thrice,” Amollo stated while appearing on Citizen Tv Day’s Break show on Thursday.
Otiende went ahead to claim that it should therefore not come as a surprise for anyone when their party leader will finally declare his next move.
According to MP Otiende, Raila has been vying and winning all the time only that he has also been a victim of rigging from the Deep State.
“Raila wanted to await for the BBI process. There is nothing wrong with him indicating willingness to be a candidate for office. He has won three times and has been robbed thrice. ODM Party stands for democracy which is why we invited applicants,” Otiende said.
But even as ODM prepares to front Raila, there are jitters in the Handshake team where Uhuru is now rumoured to be preparing to throw Mr. Odinga under the bus.
