Saturday, April 3, 2021 -Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi is now accusing Raila Odinga of plotting to interfere with the Referendum.
Through along statement issued by Spokesman Kabisu Kabatesi on Friday, Mudavadi argued that the two tough statements from Wickliffe Oparanya and Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong signifies a sharp U-turn on the side of ODM led by Raila Odinga.
Mudavadi now says the two top leaders in ODM Party -Ojaamong and Oparanya who also make close friends of Odinga had pointed what their party stands for and cannot therefore be ignored.
“None other than two governors have let the cat of the bag. ODM deputy party leader Wycliffe Oparanya of Kakamega and loyal Busia governor Sospeter Ojamong are categorical the referendum isn’t a priority. They cited Covid-19 as the reason. But it’s the location of new electoral areas that’s the actual problem,” he explained.
Their sentiments occurred concurrently with ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna who had also asked the State to channel any BBI funds to helping the country fight Coronavirus.
Mudavadi’s man Kabatesi argued through his statement that ODM is not happy with the big chunk the Mt. Kenya will be getting if the BBI passes the way it is.
“The one man-one shilling-one-vote benefit to Mt Kenya is huge and at the expense of presumed ODM support areas. ODM reasons that Mt Kenya will unfairly get the lion’s share of elected and nominated MPs and therefore more money,” Kabatesi stated through the statement.
Her went ahead to claim that ODM wants to jump out of Referendum because it is now smelling a skunk. Unfortunately it just doesn’t know how to exit.
