Monday, April 5, 2021 –It will be very difficult to beat Deputy President William Ruto in the next contest without Raila’s input.
Siaya Senator James Orengo has poured cold water on the newly formed One Kenya Alliance comprising Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula. Also in the group in KANU’s Gideon Moi.
The four leaders most of who were part of the defunct National Super Alliance NASA coalition have been expressing their confidence in succeeding Uhuru in 2022. They have been on record claiming that, through their fresh outlook, they will give both Ruto and Raila a run for their money.
But speaking last Sunday April 4, Minority leader in the Senate James Orengo told them off saying that they may end up nowhere if they continue sidelining Mr. Odinga in the succession politics of this country.
“Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi and Moses Wetang’ula can’t go anywhere near DP William Ruto without Raila Odinga,” Senator James Orengo said.
On his part, Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe continued reassuring the country that their preferred candidate upto now remains ODM boss Raila Odinga.
He stated that even President Uhuru Kenyatta has someone in mind and this man is Odinga who is expected to transition power to a fresh new blood after one term.
“Our man for the presidency remains Raila Odinga, nothing has changed about that,” Murathe stated on tv interview.
What therefore this means is that the One Kenya Alliance must start preparing to join Mr. Odinga ahead of the next race for them to be on the safe side.
