She has been consistent with her skills and talent in investigative reporting that many journalists can never dare try a hand on.

During her tenure at the Mombasa Road-based-media house, Ms Mwambia worked on several attention grabbing stories including Dhahabu ya Mauti which exposed gold scams in the country; a highly connected network full of criminals.

She would then move to Media Max studios where she went on with her job in crime investigation stories around the country. Notably, she worked on Bweta la Uhalifu which saw her arrested in April 27 2015 alongside her crew and taken through a grilling exercise by the Anti-terror Police ATP.

Mwambia and her crew had accessed a fully armored GSU camp with an improvised Explosive Devise IED which was never detected. This quickly uncovered the security lapses at police units in the country. They were later released within the same day of their arrest.

Going into 2018, she switched camp to Royal Media Services RMS where she took over the investigative desk with a story dubbed Virus Safarini during this Covid-19 pandemic. She dug deep into the security lapses and civilian ignorance on the containment directives issued to curb the spread of the virus in other parts of the country.

And now, the latest chilling expose and which she has proved to her critics that she has grown in her profession, daring Mwambia revealed how men in uniform are aiding criminals by leasing them firearms at a very cheap cost to carry out various crimes around the country. The story she called – the Guns Galore.

The revelation has seen her trend the better part of this week with her followers asking the government to help give her urgent security.
