Friday, April 23, 2021 -Political Parties Tribunal has reinstated Senator Cleophas Malala back to his position as the Deputy Minority leader at the Senate.
The Kakamega Senator who was recently removed from office by the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party which claimed he was nolonger serving their interests, ran to court to seek orders to stop ODM from implementing the move and on Thursday April 22 managed to win the case.
ODM accused Malala of gross misconduct especially during the just ended Matungu Constituency by-election where he was seen manhandling some ODM MPs in the guise of protecting ANC votes.
ODM party further argued that the agreement signed by Mr. Malala to be the minority deputy leader at the Senate allowed him to serve for only a year.
He however managed to challenge the matter through the Political Parties Tribunal which awarded him more life in office. His boss remains James Orengo.
“Landmark ruling at the Political Parties Disputes tribunal.Special gratitude to the able counsels, led by LSK President, @NelsonHavi, counsels Javier Munzala, Georgiadis Majimbo & Sylvester Mbithi for ably wading through the murky waters of my unprocedural removal,” Malala tweeted just moment after getting back the orders.

This is now a big blow to the ODM Party now that Malala is back into office under the spirit of their 2017 NASA coalition.
