Saturday, April 24, 2021 -Lang’ata Member of Parliament Nixon Korir has been exposed for poor management of Constituency funds.
In a fresh but disturbing revelation which has reached Homenews.co,ke desk, MP Korir is alleged to be dishing Constituency Development funds CDF school bursaries to people from his ethnic community- the Kalenjins.
A voter from the area, took a clear screenshot of a list showing beneficiaries of CDF bursaries and from the names, it was clear only one community was highly benefiting as others languished.
In the viral snapshot still doing rounds on social media, most bursary recipients were those who were lucky to be born in Rift Valley Region while just a handful of other beneficiaries come from other communities like Western and Nyanza.
Kenyans active on Twitter have harshly condemned the MP for his tribal activities in the area and called on locals from there to galvanize a protest vote against the politician.
Echoing the sentiments, Kenneth aka Ike Ojuok observed that Lang’ata urgently needs another leader since the current MP was an “ethnic Jingoist” makes sure 80 percent of CDF beneficiaries are his people.
