Didmus Barasa Digs at Ruto’s Camp

Friday, May 14, 2021 -Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has chided some Deputy President William Ruto’s allies for being a complete sell out.

Reacting to how the DP’s team has been losing BBI battle in both chambers, Barasa observed that this was purely because those who purport to be in support of Ruto have another hidden motive which the DP is not keen to call out.

He further noted that many of those purporting to support the DP’s 2022 course have been flip flopping any time they are required to stand firm with the team.

A section of Tangatanga legislators unbelievably supported the Building Bridges Initiative BBI when it was brought for debate on the floor of the House; and when asked why they had to switch their loyalty, they appeared to struggle with the answer.

Barasa has now blamed DP Ruto for allowing this weakness to thrive in his camp under his watch. He added that it was surprising to see Ruto rely on political novices who have no clout even at their own home ground.

“Definitely both camps will undergo some political realignments ahead of the polls. I was not surprised by some of my colleagues.

“But it is good to have a stand; because if you have been singing anti-BBI songs but when it comes to voting, you go YES; people will say you do not have a stand,” the Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa said.

He went on to claim that this far, they had managed to weaken themselves by proving that the team comprises mostly of people who cannot be depended upon at any critical hour.
