Friday, May 21, 2021 -Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Deputy President William Ruto allies are allegedly fighting each other over by-elections.
According to Peoples Daily, a section of DP allies are not happy with Mr. Kuria who is now fielding candidates through his own party the Peoples Empowerment Party PEP.
The two camps are reportedly pulling separately in what could tear apart the Hustler Nation – a splinter group of Jubilee Party.
Making this fight public, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua in an indirect attempt to castigate Kuria, warned that their United Democratic Alliance Party will not allow members to field candidates through other parties.
“We are sending a clear message out there that everyone who wants to be part of us will fly the UDA party. UDA is the only party for hustlers,” Gachagua said while issuing certificates to Muguga Ward and Kiambaa Constituency UDA candidates.
This could immediately trigger a response from Mr. Kuria who said his party will go ahead with plans to have its own candidates just like he did in the recently declared mini-polls.
“These guys are just feeling bad that I singlehandedly fought for Juja and won.
“They are jealous of my success but I want to assure them to be ready for a serious battle. PEP is unstoppable,” Kuria argued.
United Democratic Alliance UDA Party, through their Secretary General Veronica Maina, today awarded certificates to both John Njuguna and Kamau Thumbi for Kiambaa and Muguga respectively.
In recent polls, Kuria using his PEP Party managed to pull a shocker by delivering the Juja seat through George Koimburi. His candidate also won the Gaturi ward seat.
The publication, however, reported to this desk that Koimburi on Friday May 21 spent his day at Karen with Deputy President William Ruto in the absence of Kuria.
