Sunday, May 30, 2021 -Former Kibwezi Constituency Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile is dead. Family has confirmed.
According to the family, the late Ndile has been battling a long illness and has been in and out of hospital since late last year.
Nairobi Hospital doctors’ report indicated that Kalembe who breathed his last on Sunday May 30 morning at around 5:35AM was suffering from liver related complications.
“He was discharged from hospital two weeks ago, but his health deteriorated later and he was taken back to hospital. He has passed on,” confirmed his kin.
Mourning the seasoned vocal politician, digital strategist and now DP William Ruto’s top blogger Dennis Itumbi mentioned the diseased as a humorous politician who many will miss in Kenya’s political arena.
“Go well, Kalembe Ndile. Sad Ending, to a politician who used humour and other techniques to remain relevant even after being voted out. Largely a good guy,” mourned Itumbi.
In September 2017, Mr. Ndile was involved in a road accident after his car crashed head on with an oncoming car at Devki area along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
The former assistant Minister for Tourism and Wildlife who many loved due to his high sense of humour served during the Mwai Kibaki era. His body has since been taken to the Lee Funeral Home awaiting burial.
