Tuesday, June 1, 2021 -Gatundu Member of Parliament Moses Kuria wants United Democratic Alliance Party to keep off his lane.
The Standard quoted the legislator saying he is not happy with UDA Secretary General Veronicah Maina for meddling in his(Peoples Empowerment Party).
According to sources, MP Kuria is very unhappy person after some sections in UDA claimed that they had helped him clinch the Juja seat.
“If there is anyone who claims to have helped us, let them stop assisting us in future, we can’t be the only good party here.” Kuria scoffed.
Veronicah recently issued a statement alleging that if it were not UDA politicians, Kuria’s PEP Party would not have won any seat in Mt. Kenya Region.
“We appreciate People’s Empowerment Party (PEP) decision to support United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidates in Kiambaa Constituency and Muguga Ward in Kabete, Kiambu County. It will be recalled UDA supported PEP in the recent successful Juja parliamentary by-election and it’s on this gesture that they have withdrawn their candidate in Kiambaa,” read the statement from Veronicah.
She then stated that by Kuria not fielding a rival candidate in Kiambaa, it will be easier for UDA to win the seat without unnecessary internal tension.
