Tuju, Murathe Preparing to Leave Jubilee Party Leadership

Thursday, June 10, 2021 -Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe and Secretary General Raphael Tuju are nolonger interested in maintaining their leadership positions in Jubilee Party.

Mr. Murathe, while being interviewed with NTV on Wednesday June 9 stated that he is nolonger interested in holding any party position in their Jubilee Party because the work he was given to do had been completed successfully.

The Vice Chairman said that his work was to make sure rebels are kicked out of Jubilee and that he made it a success. After achieving this mission he is free to let someone else pick up from there.

“I am not interested in any position anymore because our job was to chess people away and we are done. I am happy Ruto and his lieutenants got a new home,” he stated.

He added that he was happy to see all stubborn figures in a new home called UDA since that was his main mission.

The vocal Kenyatt ally also added that he will not be jostling for any position again in their Jubilee party’s forthcoming party election.

Raphael Tuju, on his part, also told NTV that having new faces in Jubilee would be better if that decision is made so and that he has no problem with that.

Tuju further added that the passion of President Uhuru Kenyatta is to see younger blood take over party leadership which makes a good idea.

Jubilee lost to Moses Kuria’s PEP(Peoples Empowerment Party) in Juja just recently; what many now think it was the first indication that UDA was becoming popular and stronger in Mt. Kenya than Jubilee Party.
