My role had to change to take Kenyans to Canaan, Raila Odinga

Opposition leader also Orange Democratic Movement ODM boss Raila Amollo Odinga has now explained to the country why his role in the country had to change saying this was not for himself but for the purpose of his supporters.

Talking to Citizen’s Joe Ageyo on the night show of Tuesday August 25th, Mr. Odinga exclusively mentioned that it was not right for anyone to blame him for working with President Uhuru Kenyatta since this was an inevitable move. He said no one would ever realize change in life when still stuck with the older way of doing things.

Ageyo had asked him to state how he would defend himself from the wrath of Kenyans in 2021 campaigns after working with the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration which still grapples with many graft claims.

“This country was at the brink of collapse and some of these steps we are taking are inevitable,” Odinga stated on live Tv.

Odinga further wondered why his association with Uhuru Kenyatta could be a problem to Kenyans when in real sense what the country really wanted was unity and peace for its prosperity.

He added that cirumstances do change and that it was time to switch way of doing things as long as the desired results were achieved.

Mr. Odinga went into handshake with Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta signaling the start of a new but rare era of opposition joining government.
