Wednesday, July 28, 2021 -Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has resurfaced with a response to trolls after she slipped on Tv while explaining what their Bottom Up model is.
The much touted Ruto’s Bottom Up economic model has been a subject on endless squabbles among Kenyans and the political class. Further, his own lieutenants have been at pain to explain what this is and what it is meant to achieve.
A part from Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah who recently stuttered to define this new model in Kenya’s economic struggle, another of DP’s ally from Central Alice Wahome fell casualty too.
Tasked by Citizen tv Days Break host Sam Gituku to explain what this is and what Trickle Down economy they purport to be preaching is, Wahome got a dose of her own medicine after she appeared mixed up with even just the pronunciation of the term alone. She couldnt go past there.
“Eerr…by working from the bottom-down…from up to, eerr, you know…from top to bottom…” she struggled to explain.
Later on on Wednesday evening, she had to put on a brave face by posting on Facebook that she was happy to hear almost every Kenyan talk about their Bottom Up model after he viral blunder.
“I’m happy that we are all now talking about ‘bottom up economy.’ Even the clueless ruling party’s SG with diarrhea of the mouth. JP went to the dogs. Completely,” she wrote.
Last Tuesday July 27, Jubilee Party Secretary Raphael Tuju scoffed at the DP’s new political rallying call of a Bottom Up approach. He equated this to a bedroom jargon.
And as Ruto continues to struggle with his Bottom Up plans, his fierce rival Raila Odinga has alreday come up with a counter blue print to transform rural economies to production centers. This, according to Odinga, will see many rural areas turn into semi-urban areas.
