Friday, August 20, 2021 -Former Presidential candidate Martha Karua has laughed at any attempts to make her William Ruto’s running mate.
In her Friday August 20 media interview, Ms Karua said she would rather remain jobless than joining William Ruto’s team.
She also added that her intention is to vie for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat and not any other even if she gets high table offers from presidential hopefuls.
“I have said this time and time again, my only political interests are to run for the gubernatorial seat of Kirinyaga County.
“I have no interest in being Ruto’s running mate.
“I won that seat in 2017 but my victory was stolen and that’s why I want to serve my people.
“If God gives me more years, I still would want to be President in the future,” Karua explained.
She took the opportunity to rally the entire Mt. Kenya part of the country to lock up their region against outsiders whom she thinks came to divide and rule them.
In 2017, Karua lost to current Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru before she took the case to court citing irregularities. The Courts however did not find justifiable evidence to make her the winner.
