Monday, August 23, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto has softly responded to ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru who today took a swipe at him over the Bottom Up Narrative.

Addressing journalists at his Karen home, Ruto asked Mucheru to note that, at last, the country was discussing an important matter like economic model; a clear departure from politics of rhetoric.

A journalist has sought to know what response he had on what CS  Joe Mucheru had said in a youth event held in Kiambu County on Monday morning.

“Today Cabinet Secretary of ICT criticised your economic model, what’s your message to those against the bottom-up economic approach?” asked the Journalist.

In a wise response, Ruto acknowledged those criticising the bottom-up economy stating that criticism is healthy to be part of the discussion today.

“Criticism is part of the discussion and it’s good since we’re all discussing which economic model is the best,” Ruto’s Responded.

Mucheru who was speaking in Kiambu during the launch of National Council of Churches in Kenya Youth Fragility Report, took-on Ruto by saying his Hustler model was a farfetched economic model fantasy anchored on total falsehood sprinkled liberally with proclamations of sanctity by leaders who should know better.

The CS went on to urge the youths to treat Ruto’s political utterances and promises as mere hot air meant to help him to only grab power and run away with it.
