Saturday, August 28, 2021 -Mt Kenya politicians allied to Tangatanga now want Deputy President William Ruto to respect their stand to have their own political parties.

News by Saturday Nation issue of August 28 indicated that the group now wants Ruto to form an alliance with those having political parties from Mt Kenya instead of condemning them or forcing some to dissolve parties for his United Democratic Alliance UDA.

In such a case, the DP is now caught between a rock and hard surface since his wishes is to have a single party like the Jubilee Party which they used to take power twice – in 2013 and 2017.

A Tangatanga ally who sought anonymity with media reported that Ruto risks walking alone after his recent reckless utterances that seemed to demean the Mt. Kenya Region. He was caught recently saying that he will not be ready for alliances since he believes in himself.

President Uhuru Kenyatta addressing in a past function.

“We should do away with this mindset that we can walk alone. The region since 1963 has voted as a block and has never supported any individual candidate. I can tell you freely, the region will support a working coalition and not a single party. This means that he (Ruto) stands an increases chances of losing the Presidential election come 2022,” Tangatanga ally said.

But reacting to the matter, Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata quickly dismissed such reports saying UDA is their party which they all want to use to take power in 2022.
