Monday, January 30, 2023 –Actress Jacky Vike known by her stage name Awinja has landed a job with the State.
The former Papa Shirandula actress made a Monday January 30 post saying she had been hired to serve in the Ministry of Health MoH.
She will take up the role of Ambassador for Neglected Tropical Diseases NTDs in the country – a role that will be compensated by the State and other Non-Governmental Organizations NGOs.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the new Brand Ambassador for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). It was such an honour to get this role during this year’s celebrations.
“Let us get down to work. Thank you, Ministry of Health and AIHD Kenya for the opportunity to serve the community,” she announced during the 2023 World NTDs Day celebrations held at a Nairobi hotel.
The news left her fans happy some saying she has kept her brand intact despite having left Papa Shirandula many years back.
Ms Awinja, mother of one, rise to stardom came when she was hired to be part of the famous Papa Shirandula local show that got space on Citizen Tv at Royal media Services. Her cast name was Awinja who acted as Chares Bukeko’s house help.
She played that role quite well keeping it natural and real.
